Why do we not live for ourselves As I get older and start having to choose between what I want for my life and what others want for my life, I have started to realize that at the end of the day, my choice is the only thing that matters. Our parents decide to put their past faults and their childhood expectations on us because they want the ability to try again but that time has gone. Realistically , you have to live for yourself. I know that it is harder to do than say but I want to explain the reason why it is so important to do it early on. Imagine this, you in your 20's to early 30's not going on that cruise because your mother wanted you to stay home and be with her watching oldies all weekend. On that cruise was the CEO of some major company that you have been trying to connect with and now you have missed it because of something so small. Yeah, your mom is happy but how does that moment enhance your future. That one moment that she may have cried ...
